Where to begin? If you're reading this, it's likely that you've read my other blogs. If not, thanks for reading this! My name is Erin. I have blogged off and on for the past several years. Sharing life experiences and how we've survived. I've always been encouraged to continue to blog, but I felt like there was just too much to share and I couldn't narrow it down. I couldn't decide which was more important to share. Until I listened in on a periscope today and this lady was doing it all and sharing it all. I realized in that moment that I didn't need to be selective. I didn't need to pick what was more important to share. I could share it all. Yes, some posts and stories will relate more to others at times and some posts will be about something in a completely opposite direction. But what it is about is my life. Its our life.
My husband now, Travis, and I say that because I had a husband before the accident, so my husband now, is a huge podcast listener. For 11 years he's worked as a welder in a shop where he could stick earbuds in for nearly 8 hours and listen to the world of Podcasting while getting his work done. He has said from day 1 that we needed a podcast. We needed to share our story. Every story is worth sharing, but its taken me several years to get to that point. So, podcasting it is. Our first one will be posted today. It is no where near professional, and maybe not interesting at all. But, we are jumping in and doing it. Why? Why not?
The decision to share our lives and our story did not come on lightly. It has taken me years to decide to open up. My fear is that tomorrow, I will change my mind, close my front door, and continue to give the world little glimpses of us through my instagram. Yet, I don't think that is the case. My intention of sharing our lives with the world is not ensue that we have it better or you should look and listen to us. Sharing our story is only to give hope. To inspire. To show the world that you can have everything thrown at you, and its how you decide to deal with that that makes you who you are today. So, on that note, here is my first blog in this new adventure. If you know us, taking new leaps is nothing new. Feel free to browse around, share our page on FB and with your friends, listen to our podcast and thanks! We hope you find us as entertaining and inspiring as we hope to be.
